Self-isolation. Lockdown. Covid-19. Coronavirus. Stay safe. Stay home. These are just some of the new words and phrases we are all coming to terms with in 2020. And what a ride it is.
Unless you’re one of our many well-loved NHS workers, firefighters, police, key or essential workers, you’re like us, in lockdown. Daunting to start off with but now - and I don’t know about you but certainly me – I’m settling in a bit more. I'm finding my new routine and getting back into my glittery groove.
If you’ve been following us on social media, you’ll know we launched our glitter survival kits just as Coronavirus took hold and isolation began. Since then, we have adapted our kits to include our personalised/isolation survival kit and we’ve had the pleasure of posting these out to NHS workers, mums on Mother’s Day and to all of our wonderful brides who’ve had the nightmare of postponing their big days. We were so pleased when Essex Wedding Magazine got in touch to feature us on their blog, too.
So now, well and truly in lockdown, we’re going to give you five really fun things you can do with any of our new glitter survival kits and all of your biodegradable glitter during isolation!
1. Glitter up to get down at your Houseparty and Zoom parties
Having a virtual party in lockdown? Getting dressed up? Or even taking part in a virtual pub quiz? Get creative and glitter up, too!
2. Tik Tok, Tik Tok…
Key in glitter to Tik Tok and you’ll see what we mean. Make some mesmerising glitter videos or add some sparkle to you for your own videos!
3. Did someone say just for fun?
Grab someone in your household, or grab a mirror and get some practice in! Go wild with your colours, have fun and see what masterpiece you can create at home. And don’t forget to share them with us!
3. Glitter up for glamping
We love the guys over at Canvas & Peg. They deliver and set up bell tents and indoor teepees for sleepovers, parties and weddings. Get yourself some inspiration from them and set up your own stay at home glamping experience. And add a little glitter to complete the experience!
4. Get your home festival glitter party on
Missing out this festival season? Set one up yourself! We’ve done this here and so has the lovely Vicki! Get dressed up and set up a little festival at home. Your own choice of music, dancing for hours and glitter, of course!
