Last Sunday, Emma and I set off super early from Essex to get our Luxurious Glitter Bar all set up and ready to meet the fabulous brides and grooms heading to the Quirky Wedding Fayre at Dreamland Margate, hosted by Lily Jones Events sponsored by Unconventional Weddings.
We set up, glittered up and made friends with our lovely neighbour, Boards by Jess. Jess is a modern calligrapher who creates beautiful bespoke signs for your big day. From welcome signs, cocktail menus, direction signs right down to your order of the day. You’ve got to love a hand-crafted sign – such a great way to personalise your day.
On the other side of us was Miss Ava’s Millinery – vintage inspired handcrafted hats and pins. Miss Ava had a beautiful range of hats with and without veils, small hats and really beautiful hat pins - an absolute must for the quirky bride!
You know how much I love circus skills, well, we were entertained by the very talented This Bean Spins as she showed off her hula-hooping skills. So mesmerising! You can hire in her talent for hen parties and wedding reception entertainment.
Next up was Bake to the Future (what a great name!). Think quirky, stunning unique cakes from aliens in space to beautiful geometric naked cakes. Such talent!
It was great to meet fellow Essex supplier and a vintage hairdresser, Anna, from Le Keux Vintage. Anna’s about to open her own salon in Leigh on Sea very soon. A girl after my own heart right there!
In between chatting to some lovely couples, we got chatting to Matchimony about their range of bridalwear. Such a beautiful range of wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses and kimonos – well worth checking out when you’re shopping for your dresses (all links are at the bottom of the blog!).
We also got to see our good photographer friend, Florence from Florence Berry Photography. We had a lovely chat and may have made a little plan for the future (watch this space!).
There were literally so many suppliers with great businesses. Definitely worth a visit next time they have a wedding fayre on.
We finished the day off on the seafront at the absolutely yummy GB Pizza Margate and after a day on our feet, it was well deserved. Their vegan pizza, by the way, was to die for and I can’t wait to take my hubby there! Never know, might actually get to see the rest of what Dreamland Margate has to offer – it looks like a pretty cool venue!
