Kent Wedding Venues we love!

I wanted to feature some of the amazing venues we have worked in over the last few years. I’m starting off with venues in Kent and will do a separate feature on venues in Essex, Sussex and the surrounding areas we have worked in. This list is in no particular order as I love them all equally in their own different ways, it is also by no means exhaustive as I simply haven't got room in one post for all the brilliant venues we have worked in...

The Dreys

The Dreys is a beautiful woodland festival style venue near Sittingbourne in Kent. As you drive

down the fairy light lit drive you feel as though you are being transported into Narnia.

The venue itself is beautiful and is fully covered whilst retaining that outdoor festival feel. When you hire The Dreys you also get their amazing wedding co-ordinators 'The Wedding Dolls' included alongside all their beautiful bespoke furniture and glamping accommodation as well. I fell in love with this venue when we worked there earlier this year and we are lucky enough to be booked there again next year. I can't wait!

Wilderness Wedding Venue

Wilderness Wedding Venue is a truly remote beautiful venue near Canterbury- it's a family run farm with the long term vision of restoring the natural water meadow landscape of the Little Stour valley.

We absolutely love everything about this venue- it has three different locations on site to get married in, three tipis for the reception and our personal favourite the Champagne shack bar! We've even taken cover there on occasion when the weather took a turn for the worse!

Their passion and commitment to eco weddings, re-wilding and sustainability is something to be celebrated and we highly recommend them!

Hayne House

This beautiful venue sits on the Kent Coast near Hythe. Hayne House is a sustainable wedding venue with stunning grounds, a beautiful Orangery and on site accommodation. I was lucky enough to attend one of their open days earlier this year and take part in a styled shoot. Hayne House have also joined the UN Race to Zero as part of their pledge to net zero and pledged to halve their emissions by 2025. For the couple who wants to make a real difference to sustainability and hold an eco-friendly wedding, Hayne House is the venue for you!

East Quay Venue

Next up is one close to my own heart as it's where I (Alex) got married and where I first got involved in Luxurious Glitter. East Quay Venue is quite literally on the beach in the picturesque town of Whitstable. It's an old converted Oyster Grading Room for the Seasalter & Ham fishery company. The building has exposed brick, beams and stone floors and is a blank canvas for you to decorate exactly how you want it. It's the perfect venue for those who want to DIY a lot of your wedding but still have some amazing Event Managers to look after you. (Shout out to Lucy & Shelley!) It even has it's own private beach area for post ceremony drinks. If you are after a quirky, beautiful coastal venue please do check out East Quay Venue. We LOVE working at this venue!

I'm finishing todays post on a venue we have visited many times..

Longton Wood

Longton Wood is a completely blank canvas woodland wedding venue in the heart of the countryside (and not too far from another venue mentioned here, The Dreys). Longton Wood hire their venue out for an exclusive 3 day hire with space for glamping as well. There is a woodland blessing area set amongst the trees, twinkling festoon lights around the site as well as a woodland firepit with log sofa seating and tree swing. There are so many picture perfect moments to be had at this venue! For true festival vibes check out the gorgeous Longton Wood.
