A gender reveal has been top of my to-list since Luxurious Glitter launched so I’m mega excited to be sharing this weekend’s glittery shenanigans – a gender reveal!
First, finding the right Mum and bump was a lot harder task than I thought it’d be. But when I found out that the lovely Hannah (a fellow school mum) was pregnant, I knew she’d be the Mum to work with and I just couldn’t wait. Waiting for their 20-week scan was hard. I mean, I’m sure it was a lot harder for Hannah and Lewis but personally, I couldn’t wait!
With ideas brimming, a plan was hatched and a few conversations later I was able to get started with planning out their gender reveal. The lead up to the day certainly had its bumps (do you like my puns here?) but we absolutely nailed it.
We used a bright green grass backdrop from Peanut Butter & Jelly and adorned it with gorgeous Spring decorations from good old Hobbycraft (I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that place kills my bank account!). Once we had the backdrop assembled just right, in swooped Jacqui from Tiffany’s Balloons and Caroline from Loveleigh Little Ones to add some essential final touches.
Incomes the glitter! Hannah has a perfectly formed, beautiful baby bump which we decorated with both glitter and gems. Hubby Lewis even got involved with a little face glitter and big brother Hayden was ready and poised to pop the reveal balloon.
With Victoria Gilbert Photography behind the camera, Hannah’s glittery bump covered and our fab backdrop, we were ready for the big reveal. Nerve-racking doesn’t even cut it. We made sure everything was covered up (no sneak peaks!) and got on with the shoot. Victoria is an actual whizz behind the lens and didn’t leave us hanging for long.
I can’t wait for Hannah and Lewis to show their photos off and for their little ’uns future birthday parties. So, the only thing left to tell you is…
IT’S A GIRL! Congratulations Hannah and Lewis and thank you for letting us be part of such a magical family moment.
