A LITTLE LOOK BACK ON DECEMBER

by Claire x

December 2019 was busy as! So now things have all calmed down and life is back to normal (ish?!) I thought now would be a good time to look back on all the fabulous things that happened over the holidays…

SUBTLE SNOWFLAKES

December started off in true Christmas style with this… Subtle snowflakes on Janey. I absolutely loved creating this one-off under the bust tattoo style design using sliver disco and white and turquoise face paint with lovely snowflakes, all handmade by Alix.

LUXURIOUS GLITTER BAR @ BEARDED GYPSY FAYRE

We couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to have a stall at The Bearded Gypsy’s Christmas Fayre. We set up for a very cold but fun day selling stocking filler glitter pots and glittering the shoppers of Chelmsford. We were very fortunate to be neighbours with the amazing Cowabunga Pizza (we had them at our wedding – very delicious!) and amongst some amazing handmade jewellery, accessories and vintage clothes stalls. The market was buzzing all day!

WEDDING BREAKFAST CLUB

Next stop was for Emma and me and a drive up to London to Trinity Buoy Wharf for the Wedding Breakfast Club’s epic Christmas party. This networking group is all about the self-employed industry and supported one and other. This was a bit of a challenge for us as the venue didn’t allow glitter, so we used a mix of reusable gems and face paint and creativity to knock the designs out and knock it out of the park we did! We were entertained by the fabulous Decatur Street Jazz band and the fab Crayola The Queen. The whole night was captured by Joie de Booth – a really fun pop-up photo booth. Needless to say, after we cracked out a few designs, we had to have a play!

BRING ON THE SNOW KING

We love a man who can rock glitter and this snow king is no exception! Emma used White FX paint and her amazing face painting skills to create this eye-popping look along with Silver Disco and Bella glitter and individual glass gems.

CARNIVAL GLITTER & GLITZ

We love a visit to Prested Hall and this one was for their Christmas staff party – a carnival themed party, full of glitter and glitz. They’re always so welcoming and have loved the glitter since the beginning!

LUXURIOUS GLITTER CHRISMAS PARTY

Last but not least, was our very own Christmas party! It was great to get the team together for a bit of well-deserved fun. This year, we had food in Las Iguanas and for our Secret Santa we went with for a thoughtful and usable theme which was really lovely. After food and cocktails, we went all out for the cheesy pop experience in Chelmsford’s Popworld. I’ve got to say, for such an alternative group of femmes, we ALL knew the words to some of the ‘worst’ pop music produced (ahem, guilty pleasure anyone?!). My cheeks literally hurt the next day from laughing so much!

And that’s a wrap for another year. 2019 was epic but we are SO excited to see what 2020 brings us – loads more glittering at weddings, parties and festivals, no doubt!
